Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj Vol. 2

I served as Design Director for Volume 2 of the Netflix show Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj. I also served as the Episode Lead for a few episodes in particular: “Censorship in China”, “Student Loans”, and “Hip-hop and Streaming”.

The entire show is built around this immersive stage of screens, all of which were utilized to enhance and visualize the story of the week. Each episode was made collaboratively between the writers, researchers, and graphics teams coordinating as the scripts changed day to day.

Patriot Act’s motion design won the Emmy for Outstanding Motion Design later that year, 2019.
